About Us

Welcome to Oakridge Elementary School!

Oakridge Elementary School was constructed in 1948, using lumber resources from the mills of the Oakridge and Westfir areas.  Currently, we service students from our Pre-K program through the 6th grade, and have approximately 300 students.

The areas of Oakridge and Westfir are surrounded by the Willamette National Forest in the foothills of the Cascade Mountain Range.  A blend of multi-generational families and new families make up both communities.  Many of our staff members were raised in the towns of Oakridge or Westfir, and choose to make this area their home today.

At Oakridge Elementary School, we understand that communication between school and home is paramount when it comes to the success of our students.  You can expect notification from your student’s teacher regarding their progress, upcoming events and celebrations, and field trips.  We welcome your questions, comments, and ideas because we know that parents who know and understand the policies and procedures of the school, are more able to assist their children in achieving school success.
