PEBT Food Cards Are Coming

Information on PEBT Cards From oregonhunger.org

The initial disbursement of PEBT benefits, for the October through Dec 2020 benefit period, has started (July 22nd through the 29th).

Eligible children will receive benefits in two different ways:

  • If they are already part of a household receiving SNAP, PEBT benefits will be deposited into their household’s SNAP account.

  • If they do not participate in SNAP, children will receive a PEBT card addressed to them in the mail. There will be a separate card for each child in the household. These cards are different from the Oregon Trail EBT cards.

The PEBT cards will be coming from a return address in South Dakota, so help families be on the lookout for mail addressed to children with a South Dakota address.

More details can be found at this Department of Human Services and Department of Education press release. They are encouraging that families reach out about issues after August 15th. Please contact the Pandemic EBT hotline by emailing ebt.schoolmeals@dhsoha.state.or.us or by calling 503-945-6481.
