National School Bus Safety Week is Oct. 19-23

National School Bus Safety Week is held in the third week of October each year to raise awareness of school bus safety issues. Thanks to drivers, mechanics and other transportation workers, the school bus is the safest form of transportation for students going to and from school. In fact, students are about 70 times more likely to get to school safely when taking the bus instead of traveling by car. During the pandemic, bus drivers have had to take extra precautions to ensure buses are clean and safe for everyone inside them and have done extra duties such as delivering meals.

This week, say thanks to the transportation staff in our district who go above and beyond to keep students safe!
