The Oakridge School District in collaboration with Lane County United Way and the Oregon Social Learning Center will be offering at no cost to families the “Kids in Transition to School” or KITS program during the summer of 2020 for children entering kindergarten in the fall.

During this program your kids will:

• Learn essential school readiness skills like following directions, how to make friends, and cooperating with others

• Build beginning reading, writing & counting skills

As a parent, you will have the opportunity to participate in groups on:

•     Supporting the skills your child is learning

•     Making connections with your child’s school

  • Preparing your child for success in school

  • The KITS summer session is anticipated to begin the week of July 8th and go for 8 weeks 

  • Transportation is available for students to attend KITS sessions
